In early 1993, a group of people, some of whom are now life members of the Club, saw the need for a regular Sunday dance in Brisbane. They met for an impromptu dance at Woolloongabba and formed what was to become our Club, as it exists today, the Brisbane Sunday Social Dance Club Inc.  The club now have a very good, centrally located, dance venue with a lovely dance floor. So go along on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month to dance to Walter Willans' music at the Wellers Hill Bowls Club.

Organist and Musician

Blackpool Tower’s Ballroom is home to what must be the most famous and most played Wurlitzer in the world and Phil Kelsall has amazingly now completed 32 years at the Tower, having been appointed in 1975, initially as organist in the Tower Circus band with occasional appearances in the Ballroom. In 1977 Ernest Broadbent the then Tower organist, retired through ill-health and Phil was the obvious choice as the new principal resident organist, a position he has held ever since.
